Hormuud University Launches Advanced AI & Data Science Postgraduate Labs

Equipped with high-performance computing clusters, the new facility will empower graduate researchers in machine learning and climate data modeling.
Hormuud University has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence and Data Science laboratories. Designed specifically to support our expanding Master of Science and doctoral cohorts, the facility features advanced GPU-accelerated computing nodes engineered to handle complex data sets.
The launch event brought together university leadership, faculty deans, and senior research candidates. Speaking at the inauguration, the Director of Postgraduate Studies emphasized how computational infrastructure directly elevates the caliber of local academic research, enabling scholars to tackle pressing regional challenges.
